Geospatial Sales Representative
Position Summary
Great Lakes Geospatial is seeking an experienced Geospatial Sales Representative to drive sales growth throughout each territory. This is a consultative sales role focused on helping surveying, engineering, construction, government, and environmental organizations implement industry-leading geospatial solutions.
The ideal candidate will already have experience selling geospatial technologies such as GNSS, total stations, laser scanners, drones, hydrographic systems, or related surveying and mapping equipment.
Existing relationships within the selected territory’s geospatial community are highly desirable.
This position offers significant income potential for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving technical challenges, and helping customers adopt cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a sales territory in the selected region.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within surveying, engineering, construction, utility, government, mining, aggregates, environmental, and infrastructure markets.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including survey managers, project managers, engineers, GIS professionals, construction managers, and business owners.
Conduct product demonstrations for GNSS, 3D laser scanning, drone mapping, hydrographic, and reality capture solutions.
Prepare proposals, quotations, and solution recommendations.
Collaborate with technical support and application specialists to ensure successful customer deployments.
Represent Great Lakes Geospatial at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience selling geospatial, surveying, mapping, construction technology, or related equipment.
Demonstrated success selling one or more of the following:
GNSS/GPS Survey Equipment
Robotic Total Stations
3D Laser Scanners
Mobile Mapping Systems
LiDAR Solutions
Drone/UAS Mapping Platforms
Hydrographic Survey Systems
Construction Positioning Technologies
Strong understanding of surveying, mapping, engineering, construction, or geospatial workflows.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the selected territory.
Preferred Qualifications
Existing relationships with surveyors, engineering firms, contractors, government agencies, utilities, or environmental organizations.
Experience with brands such as CHC Navigation, Trimble, Leica Geosystems, Topcon, Carlson, FARO, GeoSLAM, Wingtra, DJI, YellowScan, Teledyne Marine, or similar technologies.
FAA Part 107 certification.
Surveying, GIS, engineering, geomatics, construction management, or geospatial education background.
Experience selling software subscriptions, data services, or recurring revenue solutions.
